Welcome to the parent section of the youth group website.

We are very excited about the new school year! We learned a lot last year and have made some changes.

You will notice one of the biggest changes to be improved  communication.  Information will be posted on this website,  in the bulletin and church announcements.   Details for activities  will be posted as soon as arrangements have been made. We are already way ahead of planning and scheduling compared to last year.   Check the activity details frequently and before events to see if any changes have occurred. We will  wait for  students to show up for 10 min past scheduled time for an activity. If no one shows by then we will considered the event canceled and go home.  We hope everyone understands we feel called to lead this ministry but family time is also important to us.

Safety is one of our top priorities for the students.

Transportation is always a big concern. If we do not have enough adult drivers for everyone then we have to limit the number of students who can go. We never know how many will come to an event. Everyone is busy and family plans can change quickly and RSVP is rarely answered. This makes it hard to plan effectively for transportation and chaperone needs.  If you can ever help with this for an activity please let us know as soon as possible.  We can list you as a backup plan  if you wish.

All activities and events will be chaperoned by at least 1 female and 1 male.

Movies we will be watching will be listed ahead of time. If it is a movie you are unsure about there is a wonderful website   http://www.pluggedin.com/  to reference . It is easy to use and gives you a Christian perspective on The Good, The Bad and The Ugly about movies, TV shows, videos and music.    Some movies we will be watching may be used for church teaching purposes. We will have them cleared by Father Barry prior to listing them on the website.

We hope you find this information helpful  for you and your students for planning to participate in activities.

Please feel free to email or call us with any of you questions, concerns or ideas.

          Sincerely,

           Julie and John Kennedy
