The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process through which adults and older children become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church. It became the way to prepare for the Initiation Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist September 1, 1988.
The RCIA is a formation process. It not only teaches the truths and beliefs of Catholic faith but also fosters an ever deepening relationship with Christ. It is conducted with a dedicated team of parishioners.
RCIA is for those who are unbaptized, or baptized in another Christian Tradition and those baptized in the Catholic Church who need to Complete their Initiation with the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
The process is divided into four steps divided by Liturgical Rites. They are:

- Precatechumenate or Inquiry - A time to ask questions and explore the faith Rite of Acceptance or Welcome - Accepts Inquirers intention to respond to God's call to follow the way of Christ and welcomes them to the parish
- Catechumenate - A time of doctrinal teaching flowing from the Scriptures Rite of Election or Call to Continuing Converstion - Celebrated with the Bishop, these Rites ratify the Catechumens & Candidates readiness for Initiation
- Mystagogy - A time to reflect on the Paschal Mystery and become one with the Community.
